De Espaldas: Naturaleza Humana

A photographic series exploring the human form through the lens of vulnerability and strength, focusing on the back as a canvas of emotion and identity.

De Espaldas: Naturaleza Humana (Turned Away: Human Nature) is a photographic exploration of the human body, specifically focusing on the back as a site of expression, vulnerability, and strength.

The series began as an investigation into what we reveal when we turn away. The back, often overlooked in portraiture, carries its own narrative—the curve of the spine, the tension in shoulders, the way light falls across skin.

This work was exhibited at: - Embassy of Venezuela, Montevideo, Uruguay (2012) - Walrus WTC, Montevideo, Uruguay (2011)

The series is held in The George Economou Collection in Athens, Greece.
